Data Deletion

Your Data, Your Control

At PlayMate, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your data from our systems.

Option 1: Delete via App

The easiest way to delete your account and data is directly through the app:

  1. Open PlayMate and go to your Profile
  2. Tap the Settings icon (gear icon)
  3. Scroll down to "Account" section
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm your decision

Option 2: Email Request

If you cannot access the app, you can request data deletion by email:

Send an email to:

privacy@playmate.app

Please include the email address associated with your PlayMate account in your deletion request.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we remove:

  • Your profile information (name, photo, bio)
  • Your location data and preferences
  • Your sports preferences and skill levels
  • Your messages and chat history
  • Your group memberships and game history
  • Your posts and comments

Deletion Timeline

Immediate:Your account is deactivated and no longer visible
Within 30 days:All personal data is permanently deleted from our systems
Exceptions:Anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics

Important Note

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, you will lose access to all your data, game history, group memberships, and connections. If you wish to use PlayMate again, you will need to create a new account.

Facebook Login Users

If you signed up using Facebook, deleting your PlayMate account will remove all data we received from Facebook. You can also manage app permissions directly from Facebook:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
  2. Find PlayMate and click "Remove"
  3. This revokes our access to your Facebook data
